Villagers Kill Herdsmen In Benue

Villagers in the Agatu area of Benue State have killed three Fulani herdsmen and their cattle, police have said. The farmers were said to have killed the herdsmen after they led their cattle into some farmlands to graze. Police have recovered two bodies of the slain herdsmen but are still searching for the third.

Bashir Makama, the state Commissioner of Police, confirmed the incident and promised that peace would be restored in the area.
